Insurance placed through escrow closing transaction

When Mark and Martha Calderon purchased their home, they trusted their realtor to take care of everything.  And the realtor did.  When the Calderon family moved into their new home, they brought with them Boe, a half-breed Rotweiller, who had been a part of the family since he was a baby.  Two months after moving in, Boe somehow go out of the house and bit the neigbor's 5 year old daughter.  A lawsuit was brought up against the Calderon family who turned their claim to their insurance company.  The insurance company denied the claim on the grounds that there was no coverage.  The Calderon family learned that they had a basic Fire policy.  They had to settle the lawsuit for $45,000 from their savings and agreed to pay monthly installments through a court judgement.
